I was in the Scottish National Galleries in Edinburgh this week when I came across the beautiful Sargent portrait, Lady Agnew of Lochnaw. I knew the painting but had never seen it in person (who else can’t wait to see the Sargent show in New York?) The colors in person were sheer perfection.
